Working in Eden
The Original American Kazoo Company on South Main Street (Route 62) has made metal kazoos since 1916 and has a free museum and gift shop. Its die presses date to 1907, when the building was a sheet metal shop.
Half the homes in the Town of Eden were built before 1960, and 59% before 1970. Houses from the 1950s and 60s were usually wired for 60 or 100 amps, often with two-prong outlets and no ground, so a lot of my work here is panel and service upgrades, grounding and new circuits for things the house was never built to run. Electric service in Eden comes from National Grid.
Housing figures: U.S. Census Bureau, American Community Survey 2020 to 2024.
- Eden was established in 1812 and calls itself the Garden Spot of New York State.
- About 800 Eden customers lost power in the same National Grid substation outage that hit Evans, Angola and Brant.

Chuck was extremely helpful & professional explaining my DIY project instead of just saying need an appointment- he listened to what we were trying to get accomplished & step by step ran us through it & we got it done:)) Thankyou very much !
Chuck and his team were very responsive, thorough and reasonably priced. Will use again!
Chuck did a fantastic job installing a Level 2 EV charger at my home. I called him and he came out THE SAME DAY to give me an estimate. His price was very fair, and he came back just a few days later to do the install. What really impressed me - he suggested a much better location to install it than the other two companies I had out for estimates. You can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about doing the job right. The whole experience was so good that I deleted the number for the company I used to use and will now exclusively use Chuck at CFW Electric for any electrical work. Highly recommend!
Amazing guy very efficient with his work and absolutely knows what he's doing. If anyoje is looking for someone to do their electrical work i would definitely suggest CFW Electric LLC
